I haven't been having a lot of time to post lately, mainly because as I am in the final year of my degree I have a lot of work. Still, I have been baking and one of the things I've made has been this simple loaf cake for TWD.
The texture is great and the flavour too although I did add the zest of just two lemons as I thought three were too much.
I liked it plain but when I put apricot marmalade on top I enjoyed it even more.
And when I put nutella on top well... it was just amaaaazing!
You can find the recipe in the following blogs: Treats and The Beauty of Life! It's really quick to make and delicious!!! Enjoy :)
Podéis encontrar la receta en los blogs Treats y The Beauty of Life. Es muy rápido de hacer y está muy rico! Disfrutad :)
Hi Mireira, your cake looks delicious! And I've noticed you've started to write your blog bilingual, too! Great! Well done!
ResponderEliminarIt was really tasty wasn't it? I'm so glad I got off my couch and made this one! I hadn't thought of pairing it with Nutella, but I'll give that a try after dinner. Great job as always!

Your loaf rose very nicely. It looks great. And good luck juggling school with baking blog.
ResponderEliminarAh, apricot marmalade! That would have made a wonderful addition to this cake. Great idea!!!
ResponderEliminarwat a gorgeous treat..the flavors are just wonderful
ResponderEliminarTasty Appetite
Looks delicious!
ResponderEliminarWhere is the picture of the lemon loaf cake with Nutella spread over it. Brilliant. Just brilliant. I would have loved a picture of that. In the USA, we just don't think of doing that. Mireia, have you tried the Nutella Tartine (p. 415) in Dorie's "Around My French Table" cookbook. You could substitute your apricot marmalade for Dorie's suggestion of bitter orange marmalade. It's delicious and would be a great snack for those late nights of study. Good luck. Mary
ResponderEliminarBen bo aquest coc de llimona, jo sóc de les que me'l menjaria sense res més!
ResponderEliminarHas vist el que faig jo, amb la llimona sencera? Un potent i intens gust a cítric!!
Ptnts, i a seguir així, estudiant i cuinant.

Your loaf look amazing! I really wish I had tried mine with Nutella, it might have made me love it. Genius.
ResponderEliminarla nutella siempre es otro nivel!
ResponderEliminarI love this cake and I am sure it would be amazing with Nutella! Lemon and cake and nutella are an incredible combination. It looks like the kind of cake where you could enjoy a slice and then another and another! xx
ResponderEliminarI only used two lemons too - lemons are expensive here, so I agree that two was enough. Hope the studies are going well.
ResponderEliminarLooks delicious!
ResponderEliminarWhy is everything usually good paired with nutella? Apricot jam, that´s a great alternative!
ResponderEliminarI bet it was delicious with nutella. I am so glad that you are still able to find time to bake with us even though I know you must be busy with your studies. Best of luck with them!

I made lemon curd with the leftover lemons from the recipe. I agree that a spread puts this loaf over the top. Apricot and nutella sound like delicious choices. Good luck with your studies!
